Faran is our littlest war horse, named for David Edding's fictional destrier, Faran, mount of Sir Sparhawk. Faran's mother did not do well when sent away out of our deep drought and, unfortunately, Faran suffered in-utero starvation and was born a month late. We felt he had many battles ahead of him and would need a lot of guts and a just to catch up with his paddock mate, Aslaan, and named him Faran.

He grew well with a little help from Auntie Melody, Faran has an an amazing length of leg to grow into, Faran is proving a lovely, willing young horse of intelligence and good temperament that should excel in any sport. As a foal, on evening walks, he proved to have the opinion why should he bother to walk when he can gallop? He displays the exceptional movement of his sire and dam. No matter what height Faran grows to, he will be a big striding horse with wonderfully smooth and comfortable paces. Faran is gelded with some regret.

We believe he is the pick of the 2005 foals as a riding horse.

Faran's pedigree is a who's who of Australia's best endurance lines and he is from the proven performance mare, Savannah Roylae.

Faran left for Queensland on 04/05/2008. We will miss him greatly but he is in terrific hands with his owner, Renee.
Faran on the day he left, a few hours before the transport truck arrived to take him to Renee.

Where good temperament and a place to put the saddle matter!
